To coil and uncoil, to furl and unfurl. These cycles have many words to name them, but the motion is the same. A winding and an unwinding, a folding and an unfolding. Whether it be time, or the body, or the motion of healing, there is an endless rhythm to this endless cycle.

I bite my tail to see my past, but also to see my future. I am an ouroboros, a symbol of infinity and wholeness.

I’m chasing myself and catching myself and opening in my deepest of bowls to find that even there, things are uncurling within me. A fern, pulling itself apart and stretching wide it’s little leafy fingers.

I am part of this cycle and I choose to embrace it, to hold on to it tightly and become it. To let it shape my body and which parts of myself I reveal. I learn to love it and to trust its elegant nature.
